Research Question
How long it takes to have the end model in Crysis. Sketchup VS Solidworks & 3DS Max
- Spend 5 minutes making the model (using the same model) = and see how far I get on both models
- Time it takes to import model (recording the amount of attempts)
- Time it takes applying textures (significant difference between 3DS Max & Sketchup)
- Exporting model (3DS Max) /file changing (Sketchup)

Lecture reflection
Arup's lecture showed us the capabilities fo using different programs, similar to the research assessment whereby we are analysing the programs used in exp1 and 2.

Week2: Realism
Realism: "the tendency to view or represent things as they really are".
Realism is the treatment of colour, form and space and the way in which they are represented by individuals based upon their own visual experience. It is distinguishing percieved elements from actual elements, and documenting elements that are important and unique to individuals. Realism is the realistic representation and approach to the world.
My measuring of Town Hall consisted of approx. 1 metre long steps measuring around the entire town hall station, this is more facts the contribute to my Townhall Model, whereas the smaller details I seem to have not notices, for example different types of walls that enclose the station, beacuse this wasnt part of my own visual experience.

Week1: 250words
To measure the light and materials of townhall I am going to take pictures of both, by taking pictures of the tiling i can use it later in my model. I will also be taking pictures of the entrances to the station to show the interaction with the people and the environment. My measurming of the station will be done by calculating the number of steps between each column in the station and then the amount of columns there are in the station.

Ex: Week4.
Observational documentary captures the reality of the situation and respresents it in a way where the camera does not affect the happening events. For my machinima i am using observational documentary which enables me to experiment with the different explosions and experience them from different views and angles. The camera in some way does affect the events as in this situation the camera is the character in the game Crysis. However it does not interfer with the events as the platforms created in google sketchup allow me to explore a variety of angels and views.
